The Efficacy – C-Mon & Kypski

without comments

Dutch act C-Mon and Kypski. This episode was shot right after their performance at the big PinkPop Festival. C-Mon & Kypski is a four piece. They compose and produce the music in their own home studios. The style goes from funk, rock to polka and is usually served with some hip-hop lavour. Add to this a heavy dose of turntablism by Holland¹s six times national turntable champion Kypski. Live on stage C-Mon & Kypski are unique when it comes performing their tracks. There is live sampling, live producing and changes of instruments. Check them out at www.c-monandkypski.nl

Private Music Lessons Learning The Intangible

without comments

Learning how to play the guitar—or any other musical instrument for that matter—has changed in today’s world. Not counting YouTube and the rest of the Internet, there are already a wide variety of do-it-yourself courses, books, videos and DVDs supplying students with seemingly everything they need to learn music.

However, information is not enough in the realm of music. Rather, it is how one uses this information that makes the difference between good and mediocre performances. In terms of learning, there are certain intangibles (e.g. accountability, inspiration, etc.) that no DVD, CD, or YouTube video can impart. And that, our friend, is where private music lessons shine.

The Learning Curve

See, taking personal music lessons provide students with benefits that are not easily acquired through do-it-yourself courses. A prime example of this is what every budding, beginning student experiences during his or her first few months: the steep learning curve. As the student is new, he or she would find studying any musical instrument as a completely different experience; techniques might be too hard to execute and theory might be too overwhelming. That said; this initial stage is crucial since it would reveal whether the student is determined to continue on studying or if he or she would give up.

Do Not Let Others Misuse Your Musical Composition!

without comments

Not everyone comes in to this world with a talent. However, those who posses this quality are truly gifted. The people who are into making music can be divided into two classifications. The first group has those people who have no knowledge about the composition of music, but nonetheless are associated with the music industry.

They play the musical instruments and deal with the sound engineering department of the music studios. The other group is composed of those people who compose the music, set the tunes, write lyrics etc. A music licensing company is one such medium that offers a common platform to all these groups so that they can work together to create music. Also, the Music licensing company offers the same platform to the budding talents in the music industry so that they are able to get good opportunities in the industry. Whether the budding musicians are creating a complete song or background music, the Music licensing company helps these people bypass all the hurdles that come across their paths.
